A NEW SCHOOL YEAR

Well its beginning to look a lot like a new school year.

I have been in my classroom a few times this summer to get things organized and ready for the up and coming school year.  I am very anxious to get the school year started so I thought I would start off by working on my blog!  

This summer has been for me a very relaxing summer with spending time with Kendall my daughter, with camping and visiting many friends!  I always look forward to the summer but this year I am so looking forward to the up and coming school year.

My letter to my new parents and students is almost finished and almost ready to be mailed out by the middle of the week. I am wondering how many parents are going to be a part of my blogging this year.  With the iPads coming into class I am hoping that we as a class will be able to keep our parents informed of all that is going on in our class.  So with this being said wish us a great school year and I look forward to a new year!

I know I know...

Wow life once again has taken me far from sitting and blogging.  Blogging does take a few minutes more than just a few minutes.  With school, the terrible threes and life I haven't been able to focus on my blogging.  I am upset with myself that it has taken this long but to begin my blogging journey once again I wanted to start by sharing a great post from imagination soup about activities to do over the summer.

As we know I have said many times I am NOT the most organized person in the world.  So this site has given me tips on how to get better organized with Kendall and today I found this article about organizing summer at home!  Have fun reading it and keep me posted if you choose to do any of these activities!

Fairy Tales

Once upon a time... there is a teacher who loves to teach fairy tales.  She loves to read the real story and then many other stories that match that particular fairy tale.   Ok OK its hard to write a blog post in 3rd person or is it 4th.  So let me get right to it.

For the past 2 weeks we have been studying about Fairy Tales.... Our children know that Fairy Tales have specific story elements.  These story elements are as follows.
