Good Monring Class
Today is Thursday September 22, 2011. We have Gym today I hope you remembered your sneakers. WE will not have guidance today because we had it on Monday this week.
Just wanted to remind all of you that I am leaving for San Diego on Saturday the 24th and will be returning on Friday the 30th. I will not be in school for 1 week. Please be good for the substitute. I will be checking in on the class. I hope you enjoy your time with the sub! My lessons are ready for you to have some fun and I hope you learn lots of good things.

Do you like to go on rides and what is your favorite amusement park ride?
Patrick- yes I don't remember what is is called but its a really spinny one!
Mckenna-yes I like roller coasters
Emma- I once when on the Mouse Trap roller coaster and did not like it at all.
Joey- Yes I like roller coasters its called the edge and there is no end to it and we went backwards
Kiara- Yes I like going to the dragon fast fast roller coaster.
Gage- yes I like rides but my favorite ride is going on the go-carts.
Ashton- When I went to a fair with my brother, dad and friend and we went on a spinney ride that goes up and around a little bit.

Good Morning Class
Today is September 21, 2011. We have a 1/2 day Wednesday today. Today we will be talking about Raz-Kids and taking the computer test this morning. We have the computers all morning this morning. Before lunch we will pack up the computers and put them away!

If you don't follow a workshop rule... what is going to happen to you?
Emma- red light, green light yellow light.
Joey- you don't get moved to yellow right away but you get strike 1.
Tate- if you 3 strikes your OUT and then you get moved to yellow.
Patrick- If you get moved to yellow...you will lose 5 minutes of recess
Gage if you get yellow will owe me 5 minutes on Thursday if it is a 1/2 day Wednesday.
Gabe- get moved to red... (Do you get to red right away?

Emma- you get to go apple picking.
Caleb- loves when the leaves fall off the tree so that he can rake them up and jump into the pile of leaves.
Ryan- raking leaving and my dog Lily, my dad and I jump into the leaves
Mya- is that I get to go trick or treating.
Gage- I have a dead tree that I am allowed to climb and when the leaves fall I like to watch them fall on me.
Olivia- I like to go trick or treating
Carolyn- I like to rake the leaves with Uncle Bill but this year I am going to ask him if I can jump into the leaf pile after we rake them up.

Good Morning Class
Today is Wednesday September 14, 2011. We have a 1/2 day Wednesday today! No specials today. Today... Kent went away on a business trip today he will be back at midnight on Friday. Kendall and I get to be at home by ourselves for 3 days! Has anyone ever been on the Tumble Bus???? Kendall's preschool is having the Tumble Bus come to her school today.
Question of the day
What can Kendall do on the Tumble Bus? What is your favorite thing on the bus?
Gage- There is a little steps up into the tumble bus.
Mya- They have these rings that you can swing on. I think I like the monkey bars that is at the end of the bus.
Tate- I like the monkey bars too its fun to swing on them and to climb on them. There is also a fire pole too.
Emma- my favorite part is there is something that you walk to it and grab onto the monkey bar and then you climb over and step on a stool.
Patrick- there is these mats that you can climb on it then slide down it. Its right next to the monkey bars. You have to hold onto the monkey bars to duck under the bars so you can slide down.
Jayme- there is all sorts of things that you can climb on and they are squishy.
I hope that you have a wonderful Wednesday. Today we are working on our Voice Level 1. Can you whisper? Can your parents whisper? Can you whisper for 1 minute??? Can you whisper for 2 minutes??? Work on your whispering stamina!

Open House Morning Message
Good Morning Class
Today is Tuesday September 13, 2011. We have Library today. If you brought extra money you will be able to purchase a book when we go to the book fair. Yesterday I had a meeting with K and 1 teachers. We decided that if you were going to have Turkey and Cheese sandwich you would carry a Popsicle stick to the cafeteria. Once you get your tray you will put the Popsicle stick in the basket near the lunch window.
Last thing I wanted to tell you. The last week of September from the 26th through the the 30th I will NOT be in school for a entire week. You will have a substitute and I will make sure that your day is still fun and exciting. I am going on a trip with Kendall, Kent and Kents Grandfather. We are going to San Diego for a full week with 18 people from our family. We will be apart of The MacArthur Honor Guard Reunion and we will be going to Lego Land, Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. I am looking forward to this trip but I am sad to leave you all here in Maine.
I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!!!! Thank you to the parents who came to Open House. I hope you enjoyed looking around your classroom.

Am I ready to launch?
Im not sure but I am going to try it!!!
OK... This is my first time setting up a blog that I plan on having my parents read. I plan on making this my way of constant communication with the parents. This blog WILL have a everyday morning message. Which gives both the students and the parents information about our day. I might jazz it up a little and put a question of the day. Maybe a word of the day. Followed by "What coming up!" This will be where we keep our calendars up to date of things happening in school or just within the classroom. There may be pictures of the activities that we will be doing or just random clip-arts that I find and put up. There will be no pictures of students without proper permission.
Parents: Please be patient and discover the world of blogging with me. I am new to this but am ready to be apart of another resource in my career. As the year gets going I would love some feedback or moving forward help if anyone is interested. If you have anything you would like to add or see then let me know. This is a learning experience for me by any means am I a professional blogger but I am teacher who wants to communicate through technology!
